Quick Hits: July 7th

Now that we are in the lull between the two cons, and Saimoe in a few days, time for us to delve into some Quick Hits.

When news is like a punch to the face

First off, it seems like there will be a third Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu anime series. After the excellent first series, and the god-awful second series, the third better go back to why the first season was good, and not go down the pointless fanservice route. Of course, knowing the middle season wasn’t all for naught tells me that I gave s2 too low of a score. Might bump it up 1 or 2 spots.(Presently, it is a 4/10)

Next off, a person plead Guilty of Sexual assault of a 13 year old attending an Anime con. This man is sick, and he will be spending some quality time with BUBBA in prison. PSA: If you are an older fan and you have kids, and you let them go, keep a close eye on them(So they don’t get picked up by John Q. Lolipedofin). If you are a younger fan, keep an eye on who you talk to, even on things like Facebook and Twitter, as you never know who is on the other side.)

Finally, New People is having a contest to design a “US” version of Hatsune Miku to be used here in the states. I dunno why they would do such a thing. Miku (Or who I call MikuMiku) is such an icon you can’t change her that much without destroying what she is. Alas, HIPHOP Miku is coming, I bet.
