2011 Joppy’s Collection Pt. 2: Gaming Wars

Yep, the theories of my demise are not true. Just been playing some new games as of late. Some are newer, some older. Even got my first Platinum off of one of them, so far.

PS3:
Hyperdimension Neptune(Neptunia in the US>_>): Platinum Fever: The Console-tan game between this generation’s gaming consoles has given me what I have been wanting for a while: My first PLATINUM trophy(PS3.) The game is so-so. Not the best, but definately not the worst. 7.5/10 (Notable experiences: Cristiana Vee as Compa. She played that role perfectly. And made me realise she can do silly cute: Helpful for Saki’s character)

Ar Tonelico III(Qoga in the US): It’s stripping time: Yep, the infamous “Lets strip in order to get more powerful” game. Even so, I thoroughly enjoyed the game. From Saki’s Antics(See 4/1/2010) to being able to hack and slash with the most epic vanguard in the series(See: Cocona) to the Hymmnos being Epic(Yeah, even Exec_Cutypump) makes this a better game than Neptune. 8.5/10 (Notable experiences: Still haven’t gotten 100% in Saki’s Cosmosphere. This frustrates me to no end. Also: Cristiana Vee as Saki. She can do silly cute, and a Saber-like serious character.

PC:
Da Capo: My first real Eroge experience?: As of late, I have only finished one Eroge (The free ero-game known as Sekirara.) This time around, I picked up the classic Ero-game Da Capo. My preferences haven’t changed much: played Kotori’s route first. A big surprise: I liked Moe’s route, saddened by Miharu’s route(Can robots love?), and went wtf at Yoriko/Misaki’s route. While not the best Eroge/Visual Novel, (the best VN so far goes to Clannad(To mirror AS) It still kept me entertained.
Gamecube(?!?)
Tales of Symphonia: just started, having fun with Robin…er, Lloyd and Colette’s journey.

Also I picked up a horde of Madoka stuff. The OP/ED cd’s, two Wallscrolls, a few towels, and some keychain/straps of the 4 girls.

Also picked up:
DVD
Durarara v.1: Aniplex made a winner out of this one.Need to pick up 2nd set.
DBKai sets 3-4: Freeza arc, finally redubbed. Finally done right.
Summer Wars: Found for $13, couldn’t pass it up.

Manga:
K-on v.2 Opened it up to see a nice color Nurse Mio. While that was good…Yen Press kind of messed up:(Azu-meow? Azu-nyan does not approve). Otherwise, another solid outing.

BD:
K-on! V1. Even though it has Cristiana Vee as Mio, and a solid dub, Bandai also changed a song that they played to Yui at the beginning. This saddens me, Bandai. Changing things, and not saying a word: bad form.
And then, the Masterpiece:
Puella Magi Madoka Magica v.1: 1080p Homerun, Madoka, and the rest. Need I say more?(Even with the error,not giving this bad boy up.)
