State of the Anime Industry: Nov ’10

<div class=\"postavatar\">state-of-the-anime-industry-nov-10</div>

Back in the past, I made these posts to talk about the state of the anime industry in R1. I believe, to get more content back on my blog(besides hire two more writers, xStarfish & Miles), I’m gonna be writing these posts again.

Sentai: First off, Sentai nabbed Needless and the Motion Picture of CLANNAD. Fit that with the dubbing of After Story to make this months news great.

Funimation: License-rescues of some of former ADV greats like Noir, Bubblegum Crisis 2040, And Excel Saga. Finally scheduling FLCL for a Feb release. (And March? That is gonna be HELL)

Bandai: Working on K-on. That is about it. (-_____-)

Manga/Anchor Bay: Nabbed Redline. On BD, this is gonna be a epic movie to get, methinks.

Media Blasters/Anime Works: Still waiting on them to get back on their feet with their distribution.(Want SZS)

Geneon: Also waiting on news of their licensed titles from Funi.

Jopedit1: Thanks to “k”, I realized I omitted a company. NISA nabbed Working!!, but renamed due to a copyright issue, methinks, to Wagnaria!! (There is a 90′s sitcom named Working by NBC…)

otherwise, not a lot going on….(atm)
