Clannad Review(and Miles’ introduction.)

Ohhaithar!

Let us start by saying that we absolutely love Clannad. It is by far one of our favorite series ever, and is also one of the highest rated series too. No other series has managed to bring out all of the emotions that Clannad has been able to. Joy, fear, sadness, depression, anxiety, and many others are constantly flowing from me as we watched this series. The connection you grow to the characters in this story is incomparable to any other show, and it will keep you coming back for more. You care what happens to them. You care how they act, and what they do. And you care about the relationships that they form with others.

Now lets get on to the actual review.

Enter Tomoya Okazaki, a 3rd year high school delinquent. He’s always goofing off and skipping school with his good friend Youhei Sunohara, and has never really taken life seriously. Our main heroine is absent-minded Nagisa Furukawa, who is a timid and frail 3rd year repeater. Many other characters including female students, parents, and relatives  makes this a fantastic slice of life series. The show progresses at a slow pace, but delves deep into the thought and feelings of the cast. It really feels as if you are right there with them, experiencing all the drama of being a struggling young adult, trying to find some direction in life. It’s beautifully animated and just looks absolutely fantastic. But the script is what really steals the show in this slice-of-life drama. In-depth dialogues and interactions between the characters is this series’ strong point. The possible relationships, and friendships that are carved through the story feel real, and feel right. The light-hearted humor added to the heartbreaking drama is what propels this story to go on. To be blunt, the cast of Clannad could not be better.

Jimmer(starfish)- I definitely recommend this series to any, and all anime fans. With a great story and a twist at every turn, you are really kept at the end of your seat. Never a dull moment with our wonderful cast and great animation. 9.5/10

Joppy: Well, I gave it a 9, making it one of my top tier Anime series. Only one series has gotten a ten… And btw, Kyou and Tomoyo…..<3.

Also, I would like to introduce the second new member to the Life, the Universe, and Anime blogging crew:

Miles: Since we’re sticking with just Clannad, and not the after story, I’ll hold the majority of my excitement for the next review. But Clannad is still absolutely fantastic. The characters grab a hold of you and never let go. You’ll tag along for a fantastic ride, providing every emotion you could possibly feel, and only grows stronger as it goes on. There is not a better cast of characters I could think of. 9/10 =D
