My Impressions
Group A1:
Yutaka seemingly has one roadblock in this, and that is Ryoko “Asachura”. But, Yutaka could go all the way.
Group A2:
First Major battle is Tama-nee vs. Minato. Then the winner of that gets Mei Sunohara and Saki’s Yuuki. The winner of that battle wins the Group.
Group B1:
Here comes the Damn starfish. Fuuko will be unstoppable. Tsukasa will put up a fight, but the powers of the starfish takes her out.
Group B2:
Mio. Moe Moe Kyun. ’nuff said.
Group C1:
Saki fandom might win out here, as besides Hisa, no one is close to Saki Level.
Group C2:
This is why I cry.
Mika, Haruka, AND Kyou. 2nd round matchup.
Kyou wins that(and the Group.) Mugi will give her one hell of a fight though.
Group D1:
Makie Sasaki is in this group, and will probably win the fist round….
Until she finds Ui. Ui wins this and the group.
Group D2:
Erika vs. Sakuya vs. the winner of the Izumi/ Koromo match gets Sanae. That is what I give a toss-up.
Group E1:
Yui and Rika in the second round(Another win for the K-on group….until she meets Hinagiku). Hina takes group E1.
Group E2:
I sense epic Matchup between Minorin and Tomoyo. Tomoyo wins that though.
Group F1:
Epic Matchup with round 2: 2008 Saimoe winner Kagamin vs. Ami vs. Taiga, both from Toradora. Winner gets Maria. (TOSS-UP)
Group F2:
Lulz Faction Battle: Miu vs. Azu-nyan. Epic Final Battle: Nagisa vs. Azu-nyan. I give this to Azu-nyan.
Group G1:
Lulz Faction 1: (Won’t Happen): Eva vs. Haruhi( to annoy my friend)
Lulz Faction 2: Yuki vs. Haruhi: Sympathy votes for Yuki for putting up with the endless crap will win her the group.
Group G2:
Ritsu has nastiness heading her way. First: Hayate’s Saki, then Ushio. If she can get past those two fanbases, she could win the group.
Group H1:
Nagi vs. Saki is what I think. BUUUUUUUUUT……
Rena “The Kagamin Killer” is still here and in this group. She may Spoil some matches.
Group H2:
Nodoka vs. Zange for a decent matchup: Nodoka wins this and the bracket.
Note 1: These are the opinions of Jopchan121, and is probably gonna be dead wrong. Such is the unpredictability of Saimoe.
Saimoe: Serious Business.
For group A1, I think you’re overestimating Ryoko just a bit. I agree that the left hand side of A1 is probably the weakest half in all Saimoe, so it is probably wide open. I’m curious as to how the Strike Witches will do, as their fanbase has been dormant for a while, but Minna could make a run in A1. Watch out for Chiaki and Last Order, too.
But yes, Yuuki is far and away the favorite in the group, and I can guarantee you that the A2 left winner wins the group.
As for group B, there might as well be just three people in the whole group: Tsukasa, Fuuko, and Mio. With Mio absolutely taking that shit to the house.
C1 is another weak group, so we’ll have to wait and see the health of fanbases before we check this one out. Kotori from Da Capo has a good shot at A1, her draw is really weak but she has to be in good form. I won’t be shocked if Louise gets upset really early but either Harukaze or Hisa. Mio Sakamoto is a pretty weak Strike Witch, but she could possible make something happen. C2 is full of Kyou Ani and awkward first round matches. Kotomi vs. CC will be a barometer of the KyoAni faction and how it’s comparing to the Geass faction. Mugi and Kyou should dominate this group, and the winner of that match should go into the top 8. D1 is basically decided in the first round, with Komoe vs. Yuuhi. I don’t this Ui can get past this, something in my gut is telling me that she won’t be as strong as needed. Ranka, Amae, and Erica Hartmann are going to dominate A2, one of those people will win the bracket.
