Saimoe ’09 Preview

We are about a month out from the beginnings of Saimoe ’09. So, since this is what my blog has been specializing in for the past 2 years,(This will be the third year I blog Saimoe): here is what to look for.

1. Desu will still not be joining this round, as there is no new Anime series/OVA that will be released for Rozen Maiden.
2. However, The 1st  OVA for Higurashi Rei came out in Feb, so prepare to see all of the Higurashi Girls in this one…
3. Nanoha will also not be joining this time around(Next year, with the movie coming, she’ll return with Fate.)
4. Thanks to the OVA, Kagamin and the girls of Lucky Star return. Remember, Kagamin won last years Saimoe. But she will have heavy competition.
5. Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu’s characters should do enough to get to at least the Semi Finals. But they will not win.
6. Thanks to the end of the Kadokawa Troll: Haruhi, Yuki, and Mikuru make their return to the playing field.
7. (Lots of points) Clannad AS will be the Anime to beat, as it has both Nagisa AND Ushio.
8. However, there is the Moe Moe Kyun factor with Mio, who should get to the finals easilly.

That is my prelim thoughts as to what will happen thoughout this Saimoe. It does not mean what I will say is gospel, we have seen some epic WTF moments in years past(Question girl from anime I don’t know is definately one that surprised me), So somehow, expect the unexpected in this one….
