Joppy’s Rants Mar 31- The ongoing crisis in the anime Blogosphere

Note- This next post is an opinionated piece. This opinion is more than likely not shared by Ikimashou.net, so don’t hold it against him, mmmmkay?

ugh……this is gonna turn into a war of the bloggers, isn’t it?

I want to stay neutral, but when someone causes others to seriously rethink their fandom(and some actually did quit), this will head the wrong way.

I am in the belief that no one should be ridiculed for what they like. If a person doesn’t like Clannad, Lucky Star(I have seen people give some hate to that series) or even IRL people like Hirano Aya (from news she won the best female award from Kodansha), It does not mean you should bash anyone based on likes or dislikes.

I also don’t know Owen that well, but I have heard in the blogosphere about him. FYI- Staying silent isn’t helping. It is just feeding this on, and I think we do NOT need division here. We can all get along. Have an open mind, and don’t bash others for not having the same opinion as you.

To the bloggers that think everyone needs to stop blogging this, well, sorry, but this is a big deal to everyone. Especially to CJ, whom got hurt the most by this problem. Just because you feel this is nothing but drama to you, to us, it is a serious nature.

An idea that has been mentioned- is there any way to start up a new collective?

To CJ- Keep up the good work on your blog. You and your writers have given me some great stuff to read(besides the ongoing problem, of course).

endnote- I am working on a new header on my blog, it just needs a small amount of work.
