Happy 4th of July(Two days late)! Fireworks inside.

Note- This next post is an opinionated piece. This opinion is more than likely not shared by Ikimashou.net, so don’t hold it against him, mmmmkay?

First off, I would like to wish whomever reads this a happy holiday.

Now on to my topic–Opinionated Otaku.

As you may or may not know, I am a member of a forum that scanalates a certain series about a boy wizard-teacher(Can’t say due to not getting them in trouble.) Anyways, some of us at this forum went to the artists bbs to show support to the artist. One person decides to blast the author because a certain person got taken out of a battle, and didn’t come back till the end of the battle. He was so furious and so fanatic over the loss of this character, that he demanded that the author remake the volume to his liking. This kinda started a chain reaction that closed that bbs down.

……Next. he made his own forum and  one of his rules was that you can bash anyone but his favorite character, which if you do, you would be banned(Not warned like most normal forums.

Then, about a year later, when he found out Negima!?, the second anime series, started, he decided to demand that the person who blogged it(Omni of Random Curiosity) stop blogging it. Every week, he’d say the same thing, and add some horrible thing to it(Like he’d edit Wikipedia for Negima!? to suit his tastes.)

In this, he predicted that Funi was gonna take it, and I conferred with the Admin of Funi, who at the moment, told me they didn’t have the series…..yet.

Finally, just this past week, Funi announced the licence of both Love Hina and Negima. The dude went nuts, going to Funi itself and demanding them to drop the license to Negima, Saying as well Shuffle was gonna be edited. He’s still there, if you want to take a look.

Case in point- Don’t become like this Opinionated Otaku. Like what you do, and if you don’t like the series, share your opinions, but don’t go overboard, as it will alienate your friends/other fans. It will make you a hated person.

UPDATE- NOV. 27(The Lulz affair)

Recently- the same guy started to threaten Funi with harm if they don’t stop with the release of Negima!?. And, as soon as the press release of Navarre’s second quarter earnings was released, he spoke up, saying that his threats of boycott were the cause of the downturn of the stock right after that report was released. I proved that, and the fact that the stocks stablized(And are actually going up), and he banned me from his forums. He don’t like other opinions, that is for sure.
